Dr. Nicholas Vezzoli was born and raised in Old Lyme, CT. He earned a BS in Biology from Providence College, then studied at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) where he graduated with Clinical Honors in 2016. During his time at NECO, Dr. Vezzoli completed an ocular disease internship through the VA in Lowell, MA and Boston Medical Center, a low vision internship at the VA in West Haven, CT, and a rotation in a private practice in Warwick, RI.
Dr. Vezzoli has been practicing on the shoreline for 9 years, treating patients with a range of diagnoses from Glaucoma to Macular Degeneration, as well as providing post-operative care for cataract and LASIK surgeries. His passion in eye care is ocular disease and contact lenses, including specialty varieties such as scleral lenses for Keratoconus.

Dr. Vezzoli currently lives in Old Lyme with his two dogs: Eli, an English Black Lab and Rudy, a German Shepherd. He spends his free time running, hiking, fishing, and watching hockey.
